OUR PROCESS

At Global Marble & Granite, our process is simple and aimed at taking the guesswork out of choosing the right material for your home. Whether you are remodeling or building new, we believe you should rely on the experts like us who understand the difference between marble, granite, quartz, slate, limestone and more and which is best suited for your application.

THE SHOWROOM

Modeled after an art deco showroom in Manhattan, our store utilizes an open floor plan with natural stone samples lined on each side of the wall, allowing you to easily compare colors and materials as you determine which fits with your vision. The center of our showroom features two separate islands, an ideal setting for our consultants to go over your plans in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

Because we believe education is an integral part of the process, our flat screen TVs play a video on a running loop that explains the services we offer and details the products we sell at Global Marble & Granite. Should you need further inspiration for your project, we proudly display photos of work we have done for customers to enjoy.

During the initial visit, we recommend you bring any plans that you may have for your project. This will give us a sense of your needs and allow us to determine which of our products best meet those needs. We can also offer guidance on how the material you pick can be incorporated into one room, multiple rooms or your entire house. We will walk you through all your options, from the types of materials we offer to how those materials can be used aesthetically to enhance the beauty of your home.

Due to the size of the slabs in our showroom, we are unable to allow customers to take samples home. We do allow you to take photos of the samples. And you can bring any project materials you may have into our store to see how they blend in with the color scheme of our samples. It is important to note that the samples you see in our showroom will not be identical to the one that goes into your home.

PICKING THE MATERIAL

Should you decide to proceed, you will pick out the material (or materials) that will be used as part of your project and we will provide you with a rough estimate of the cost. You can opt to let us choose the slab that will be used in your home or you can have a say in that decision-making process. Click here to learn why we recommend you opt to choose the slab.

At this point, we require customers sign a contract and provide a 50 percent down payment in order for us to move forward with the project.

TEMPLATING

Once we have received payment, we will schedule a date to come into your home to conduct templating (also known as measurements) of any areas where our materials will be used. Final costs are determined by the approved templating.

Please note that templating can be done only when cabinets and/or framing are fully installed and permanently in place. We ask that the homeowner or their representative (designer, architect or general contractor) review and sign off on all templates prior to beginning fabrication.

FABRICATION/INSTALLATION

Once templating is completed and approved, it will take a minimum of five working days for your piece (or pieces) to be delivered to your home and installed. Depending on the material, it could take up to 10 days as softer stones require more delicacy when crafting the slabs. Global Marble & Granite works with a master craftsman based on Cape Cod who fabricates each slab with care and precision.

We ask that final payment is made upon the delivery and installation of your material.

Once installed, we will provide you with a pamphlet that details how to care for and clean your natural stone product.

Should you have any questions about this process, please do not hesitate to contact us. Our dedicated staff of professionals works with a wide range of clients, serving as a resource for local homeowners, builders and designers. We look forward to hearing from you to see how we can help turn your dream room (or home) into a reality.
